Not often any more, but still. It gets cold, and I prefer blankets over slippery nylon shit sleeping bags that claim to keep you warm below freezing and then dump you on the ground where all your body heat gets leeched out by the giant heat sink that is the earth.)

Dream trip: Does it have to be plausible? Because my dream trip would involve owning a TARDIS that can reliably jump universes.

What is a big goal you are working towards?

Medical help with the ways my body hates me and my brain wants to kill me, so I can get my damned life back. It’s going to take a while.

What’s your aesthetic?

Eh. An eclectic mix of anything that catches my attention well enough? Future and past, science fiction and fantasy. Comfort, ease of use, practicality… and intricacy, sensuality, indulgence. And sometimes, just nothing, because everything is too much.

Do you collect anything?

People, ideas, stuffed animals, t-shirts.

What is a topic you’re always up to talk about.

My writing. Everything comes back to it. Probably because I use it to make sense of things. May be why it’s been hard to write lately, because too much isn’t making sense at all.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

Telling me that my impact is all that matters and never my intent, while someone else’s intent is all important, and their impact is irrelevant*. Or any other means of saying that only specific people get to be people.

*also relevant when the person trying to say this is part of a privileged group trying to say that a marginalized group’s impact is important, but not their intent, while the more privileged group’s intent is important, but not their impact.

Very loud music – the worst is heavy on the bass to the point I can feel it and/or late-night impromptu concerts out of someone’s car.

Good advice to give?

Survival is a victory. Everything else is bonus. Enjoy your bonuses, and don’t be hard on yourself when all you can manage in a day is survival.
