My Notes: This is one of many fantastic crossovers and short stories that Jedi Buttercup has written, and one of several I’ve prompted. This is an author who is responsible for me actually being interested in a number of movies and shows and things that I otherwise might have given a pass, because the crossovers are fantastic and fascinating – and more than once, have proven better than their source material.
(So, really, I’m not just reccing this story, but this author, because damnit, they deserve it.)

Title: The Job Interview Job
Rating: General Audiences
Fandom: Leverage
Summary:Unemployed librarian Bobby Dismas isn’t sure how Leverage International found him or what they want with him, but apparently it has something to do with his conspiracy theory website about Roy Chappel (and Kenneth Crane, and Jacques Labert).

This is such an ot3 character study.
Parker, who tells them what she needs and then just JUMPS. She trusts them. She knows they’re not going to let her fall. I honestly think that possibility never occurs to Parker.
Eliot being a little shit in like, a really cute way. He would never hurt Hardison, but he will 100% mess with him, because messing with him is one of those things that makes LIFE WORTH LIVING. Also he’s the one to actually do something about their immediate problem and actually do what Parker asked.
Hardison, whose first instinct is to panic and flail. And then whine and complain, also in a really cute way. And he’s not mad. He’s just resigned. Another day, another traumatic experience with climbing gear. Whatever. He loves his sadistic weirdos anyway.
Then all the sudden you realize that Hardison is the one holding Parker up, and Eliot was the one to connect them, and this whole scene wouldn’t have been possible without all three of them….and you realize the whole thing can be read as a gigantic metaphor and you’re emotional.
