*hugs you all* Because today is a day for hugs, and I’m going to run out of spoons if I go putting hugs in everyone’s ask box.
Feel free to reblog this to give a hug to every one of your followers.

It took time to craft the body; time that they didn’t really have but that had to be taken if this was to work the way she meant it to. And then she put the symbol on his chest – where his heart would have been if he were flesh and not clay – and his eyes opened and he looked at her. “You are the keeper of truth,” she said, “pure data to protect us from the lies of our enemies.”
Week one at Cosmetology School was LIT guys! I’m so stoked, SO. STOKED. I’m discovering so many cool things about myself as both a creative mind and a student. It’s amazing, and I’m so glad I picked this school. Aveda has a lot of great people, and great values that don’t make me feel skeevy.
Since everyone was SO EPIC and not only are my school fees now ALL paid, but I was able to make it to and from class and eat without losing my mind, I want to extend a massive THANK YOU! Everyone who has signal boosted and donated so far has been my angels.
My gofundme is still ongoing. That’s my end goal. I’m applying all the donations I get to my paypal to that final balance, and paypal still is my favorite option for getting paid, since it means no third party fees.
The goal for next week:
I have 3 days of school, 10 hours each. That’s 45$ in train fare, and I’d like to keep my meals to about 15$ or less per day, so another 45$ in meals for three days. The home situation is still screwball, and anything over my travel/eating goals goes towards rent! I’m not in danger of getting kicked out, but I owe for April now, and soon May.
I’m also picking up pet sitting jobs and doing hair sticks for people here. I’m going to the career fair on April 30th to see if I can get a salon front of house job in virginia, or as an assistant somewhere! I haven’t been paid for one commission, and the next one isn’t coming in until sometime in two weeks.
My Instagram and Twitter handles are the same, I’m setting up snapchat today, and there’s an EPIC amount of cool stuff to do on social media. PM me if you want in on my professional social media! I’m working hard to keep it separate from my fandom identity, to keep all my fandom people out of the public eye! But if you want to follow my professional accounts, hit me up!
I’m getting there, but I’m not there yet! This fundraising round is to get me through week 2, and everyone who helps me out is amazing. (Seriously guys, I don’t ever cry but I’ve cried more than once seeing my balance go from ‘danger zone’ to ‘nearly there’.)
Day two! I appreciate any signal boosting guys. Things next week will be impossible if I cant get bus fare at least :(. My account is at 10$ for the whole next week.
DAY THREE! ❤ I’m also going to be posting to Facebook, so if anyone wants to repost this there I’m not gonna say no! (I’d probably cry and hug you tbh)
I’m trying to set up a youcaring but their dashboard won’t load 😦
Going to be offline for a week and a half or so starting tomorrow, ‘cause traveling and taking advantage of that to make it easier to not be online. 🙂 Take care of yourselves, and I’ll see y’all when I get back.

girls don’t like boys, girls like the pastoral escapist fantasy of living in a large house with many friends and several pets on a beautiful chunk of land with no financial, political, or medical anxieties. also, bread.
Here are some reference photos for identifying poison ivy. It’s not as easy as people make it sound. Poison ivy looks different depending on the time of year, the leaves may be atypically shaped, and occasionally they may even have five leaves instead of three. That’s just the… beauty of nature, I guess.
Some tips:
Leaves, especially young ones, may have reddish tints to them.
The vines that grow on trees and other structures are often ‘hairy’ and have thousands of little roots anchoring to the surface of whatever they’re climbing. Dead plants may still cause allergic reactions.
The stem on the central leaf may be slightly longer than the stems of the other two.
Poison ivy is a shrub, so the stem is relatively inflexible and woody, as opposed to more flexible herbaceous stems (as on, say, dandelions).
Sometimes the outer sides of the side leaves form notched/jagged “mitten” shapes…. but sometimes the leaves are all smooth.
The “veining” in each leaf is not symmetrical – the lines extending from the center of the leaf will usually alternate and not match up on both sides.
They also grow white/yellowish clusters of berries:
With spring weather approaching in the Northern hemisphere, I want to remind everyone that even if you’ve never had a reaction to poison ivy in the past, that could change at any point with further contact. You are not “immune to poison ivy” and repeated exposure to poison ivy (and any other plants containing urushiol) is likely to heighten your sensitivity and make future reactions progressively more severe.
I have never reacted to poison ivy even though I’ve almost certainly been exposed to it many times. I simply have had the good fortune to be born with a very high resistance threshold, but I could go outside tomorrow and develop a severe reaction without warning. I might even become excessively sensitive due to priming from prior exposures.

THIS.
If you’re like me, it could be a month of full-thickness blisters and nothing makes it stop itching. Not even allergy meds, and the only temporary relief I had was dousing my forearms in hot water (probably approximately 80-90F, ‘cause it wasn’t the hottest the knob could turn) every hour or so. Wrapped my arms up in towels and loose bandages to keep from scratching at them, and lots of whimpering and whining my way through the month. Naps were my friend, because sleeping through the night wasn’t going to happen with the level of itchy pain.
