Have gotten @elegantmess-southernbelle safe home, and got back here despite the deluge that was damned near flooding the Beltway, and certainly had minor flooding on the off ramp I needed to take. There were a lot of people who took the option of off on the shoulder with hazards on to wait out the worst. (I’m pretty sure I’d have panicked or otherwise not have made it home if I’d stopped at that point, hence not doing the same thing myself.)

The rain did slack off after I got home, and once it was passed, I fetched my new hair cleaning stuff and my pillows and left the former downstairs while I took the latter up and fetched clean clothes as well so I could have a shower. My hair smells remarkably less of vinegar than the initial attempt – I suspect it was a combination of both not enough dilution for me (1:1 does not work, 2:1 does), and trying to rinse without running water.

And now I am in my bed (still need to put sheets back on it and change my pillow cases, but I’ll do that shortly), and nomming on the second half of my sandwich from this morning, and trying to decide how much I must do tomorrow and how much I can put off until Monday on the unloading (must do: get the rest of my stuff out of dad’s car. probably on mom’s list of must do tomorrow (as a group): everything).

I will have some reblogs of fic and/or art tomorrow, and the queue will be running on my reblog blog, but all my new writing over Pennsic was long hand, so none of it is ready to post.

Home and taking a nap while dad goes to get the tire on his car replaced that has developed a side wall bubble. Then driving @elegantmess-southernbelle home before I can be properly home. Then there is excavating of things so I can extract all my stuff, and shower, and sleep.
