*blinks* Well, that was an unexpected nap. I remembered it being not quiet two when I went to lay down for a nap because so tired, and it was not quite five when I woke up. That usually belongs in the realm of ill, though it’s better than most of the flus I’ve had, because I’ve actually been awake today for longer than stumble to bathroom, drink a mug of water, and maybe eat something.

Eh. I’ll worry about it if this repeats itself tomorrow after my doctor’s appointment.

Morning, 6 Jan 17

I hope everyone is having a good morning, and that your day goes well! Or if you’re heading to bed about now, that you sleep well!

Fed the cat, fed me, got the post for the afternoon ready and queued up, and am currently telling the anxiety to shut the fuck up. Today is 3.5k of me having accidentally stepped from home to DS9, because Plot Device.

There is inventory to do as soon as mom is up and about. There is someone nearby with heavy machinery making a racket, there was someone earlier giving an impromptu early (for me) morning concert at sufficient distance I couldn’t identify the music even vaguely but close enough to cause pain because I’m being very sound sensitive right now.

I have a sink of mugs to clean, a pile of mess on my floor I need to pick up, and a desire to fling rocks at the planet ‘til it’s all pretty on fire. That last is mostly hormones, but some of it is reaction to pain/possible sensory overload.

Bedtime 4 Jan 17

While I’m still at the “that desire to smash and destroy things is very much an intrusive not me thing damnit” stage of hormones being horrible this evening.

*sighs, pokes ovaries irritably* Stop that, you. I keep telling you to stop that, and you keep not listening.

Anyway.

Hugs for everyone, and I hope you sleep well when you get there! And for those just starting their day, I hope your day goes well!

Bedtime, 2 Jan 17

To bed early because what is a sleep schedule, and I’m tired and cranky. (Looked at my calendar. May be partially hormonally driven cranky, which fits with the “this doesn’t feel like me, and there’s no obvious external reason to be cranky, either”.)

Hugs for everyone, and I hope you sleep well when you get there! Or, if your day is closer to the beginning, that your day is awesome!

I didn’t wake up until damn near 11, I’m not being able to get enough liquid in to stop feeling slightly dehydrated (this is not typical), I keep going back and forth between too warm and too cold, and I would like this fucking cold (please be a cold and not the flu) to go the fuck away.

*sighs, and thumps head on desk* I will live. This will pass. I will whine and grumble and complain bitterly about the stupid thing in the meanwhile.

And possibly take more naps than usual. Bleah.

Morning 25 Dec 16

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

I am going to manage vaguely coherent for today in brick-space, and then crash as soon as is feasible, and pass on the extended family gathering tomorrow because last night’s spike of everything was the beginning of a migraine.

I refuse to go hide for today’s stuff, but not hiding in a dark and as quiet as possible room today means tomorrow I will be useless even if the main part of the migraine passes today. (It also means I may not make it to round two of extended family gathering on Tuesday, either. Bleah.)

Morning, 23 Nov 16

Sleep did help some with the brain weasels. They’re still there, and they’re still not ignorable, but they’re quieter than last night, at least.

I’ve got a sink full of dishes I’m going to try to get cleaned, and a stack of recycles I’m going to try to get out. May see about going over to Home Depot to pick up a trio of 5gal buckets because they make awesome trashcans, because then I don’t have to carry the bag, I just take the entire bucket with the tied-shut bag in it, and it’s easier on my hands than the ties of the bag. Same reason for making an awesome bucket for recycles, because HANDLE.

I have the first segments of the story on a deadline, but I’m still not at word count. I may try to poke at that today. I want to get the scene-in-progress done for Transformation so I can post the next segment up. I have the Garak-and-Bashir scene-in-progress for The Butcher (and I need a better title for it, because no), and I have a letter to write for Aerit.

Food. I have a chunk of beef I tossed in the fridge to thaw, that I can cut off bits for in the rice pot. I have tortellini with cook quickly and are delicious. I have three of the mini crumb cakes left. A stack of frozen waffles. Bread. Potatoes. Cheese and butter and cream. I need to eat something, no matter that my appetite is absent.

I have a bottle of my favorite juice (CranTangerine), and a filter full of water within easy reach, so I’m not worried about having enough to drink. I can also easily refill mugs when they’re empty (I have three right now, one for water, one for juice, one for when I get up to go refill with cider and heat it in the microwave).

And despite the chores and writing stuff that I have on my to-do list (which is a running list, so those aren’t a “must do today” so much as a “must do some part of this today”), I may well begin today with putting on the Walking With series and crochet my way through a row of blanket. Or more, if I can manage it. Because I want to get that done soon, so I can pack it up with a few other things to send off to @deadcatwithaflamethrower for the winter holidays.

(Definitely doing something that lets me put on headphones, because asshole neighbors have decided I need to listen to polka again. FUCKERS.)
