I’m sorry, anon. 😦 I hope something comes through for you soon!
I’m sharing a snippet from Anabasis, though I’m not sure it quite fits the bill you’re asking for. (For something much more…viciously empowering, this snippet is my go to cheer up bit.)
There are a few spoilers in here, though if you’ve read all the other Anabasis snippets there’s probably nothing new. Also, the description is fairly subtle but Anakin does experience a flashback and a panic attack here, so be safe if you read.
The official residence of Naboo’s senator was still in the
penthouse of 500 Republica. Anakin knew it well – better, in fact, than Padmé
had realized, in the days before. She’d thought she was introducing him to a
new place. She hadn’t known, and he never would have told her, that he’d lived
there himself, in the years when his Master was still the senator.
Before. That was the only way he could think of it now.
Before, when he had still been a slave and thought himself free, when Padmé had
been a secret he kept even from himself.
How strange, to think that he would be living here again.
“Will he be okay?” Obi-Wan asked
for what had to be the fifth time.
“Concentrate on the here and now,”
Ben admonished. “Losing focus with the
Dark side is likely to get you hurt.”
“Right,” Obi-Wan said, rolling his
eyes, but he continued in the smooth moves of the kata, letting the Darkness
pool and flow around his movements.
Small, harmless Force-shoves moved the air around him.
He trusted that his Master would
be fine on his various missions, but he worried. On the one hand, Qui-Gon Jinn had survived the first
time around, until Obi-Wan lost himself to hate and turned on the man he would
die for. He didn’t like to think about
that. On the other hand, since he was
changing history, with the help of a time-travelling holocron, then would he
change that, too?
Troi is a time traveling criminal and Data is the time cop sent to stop her – specifically chosen because he’s an android and she can’t seduce him. However, Troi is something of a time traveling Robin Hood. She has good intentions and does things that help people in the long run.
At some point, Data gets caught up in one of her schemes and really sees what she’s doing for the first time. He realizes that his internal mandate to help people means that he’s on her side, and now they’re both on the run.
(Throw in some Leverage crossover for added fun)
(I have been working a job and a half the last few weeks, so I’ve been too fried to write. This has now been fixed, so prompts from here or other prompts are once again welcome.
Please help me deal with changing meds and give me prompts. I’m not too proud to beg.
I wasn’t going to post today because I’m REALLY tired and I need to
switch back to once-a-week postings so that I have a significant backlog
for upcoming shenanigans, but I’m really tired and couldn’t resist. So
there. That is my wafer-thin excuse. *g*
Also wafer-thin excuse: If I’m supposed to respond to your messages/emails? Uhmmmmm. Yeah I basically started hiding under my desk when summer finally arrived and now there are Things Happening. Haven’t forgotten you. ❤
“Everyone likes to forget that Andromeda Tonks raised a Black-blooded daughter.”
Obi-Wan’s mind was a
battlefield of conflicting impulses as he finally stumbled into his room in the
Jedi Temple. He and Qui-Gon Jinn had
just returned from Telos, where Qui-Gon’s previous padawan, Xanatos, had
committed suicide by jumping into a pool of acid. That had been…horrible. The tortured screams as the potent acid ate
the flesh from Xanatos’ bones echoed in Obi-Wan’s nightmares, taking their
place next to the sight of Bruck Chun falling to his death, and the bloody
civil war on Melida/Daan.
