Noms

Because montuos wrote up the recipe for tonight’s dinner, I will link to their DW post on it. Morgyn’s Magic Lamb

There were also regular buttermilk biscuits that were the right moisture content to sop up nommy goodness but also be edible with a spot of butter. Also apple biscuits, with chunks of apple doused in cinnamon, wrapped up in a modified recipe of the previous*, and rolled in cinnamon sugar.

*instead of buttermilk, a smidge less of heavy cream and two tablespoons of lemon or lime juice stirred in right before pouring it into the dry ingredients

It was a very nommy dinner pulled together pretty much by the seat of my pants, and there was very little of it left to put away of the lamb dish. I have enough for my breakfast tomorrow, if a light one, and there are plenty of the biscuits left for nomming on tomorrow as well, and there might be enough of the lamb left for someone else to have a light breakfast too.

It has a nice bite to it because ginger and seseme, and a nice sweetness to it because butternut and honey and roasted garlic, while not being overly either spicy or sweet (which is important, because sensory processing issues). And while the lamb was fairly well done, it was still juicy, and also it did not suffer for being well done. Especially with the way the butternut and the garlic cooked down.

Definitely a dish worth repeating.
